Our story

LoneStar Leeds was established in 2013, following the strategic merger of two longstanding engineering businesses: LWD Precision Engineering (est. 1942) and Grange Gaskets (est. 1948). This combination brought together complementary strengths in gasket manufacturing, precision machining and engineered sealing solutions, forming a single, more capable organisation focused on serving critical industries.

Operating from two manufacturing facilities, with a combined footprint of approximately 6,500m², the business quickly positioned itself as a trusted supplier of high-integrity products for the oil and gas, power generation, nuclear and defence sectors. Ever since, the company has maintained a strong emphasis on full material traceability, certification and documentation, responding to the increasing regulatory and assurance requirements of these vital industries.

Defined by a focus on engineering expertise, advanced manufacturing capability and rigorous quality standards, the company has continually invested in modern CNC machining, inspection and testing resources, enabling it to deliver complex, bespoke components engineered to customer specifications and internationally recognised standards. This approach supported early growth both in the UK and internationally, with exports extending to over 30 countries worldwide.

Its commitment to quality, safety and sustainability has been recognised externally, including being shortlisted for Team of the Year at the edie Awards 2026, reflecting the business’s collaborative culture and ongoing progress in sustainability and operational excellence.
